No, most of the tests Vangent provides are designed for use by field and operational staff in our client organizations. They are designed for easy administration or can be self-administered. Our assessments can be managed without having any special certification. User guides and on-line assistance provide instructions on how to use the Vangent system, as well as furnishing basic information about the assessment. Generally, the user of the assessment in the field is following standard company processes, with clear guidelines about whom and when the assessment is to be given…and what the results mean. Details of the assessment should given on a need-to-know basis.
Some assessments, such as the Campbell Organizational Development series and LH-STEP Assessments, are more specialized and do require some knowledge to manage. However, they do not require a formal certification. For example, the LH-STEP is used for executive-level assessments, succession planning, and management development. Using the LH-STEP for these purposes does require a trained HR manager or someone familiar with talent development.
Vangent can provide some specialized training, including on-site seminars, to educate your HR staff on specifics of the assessment. Similarly, conducting an organizational or 360-survey requires some specialized knowledge in your organization. In those cases, we can help train or supplement your HR staff to conduct these organizational development programs.
