Vangent, Inc. ('Vangent') has adopted the following online privacy policy statement applicable to this website and our online sites available only to clients of Vangent. This privacy policy has been adopted to apply to Personal Information Vangent may receive related to products and services it provides. Vangent also has a separate privacy statement that applies to certain personal data that Vangent receives applicable to information processed in its role as an ASP provider; in the United States from the European Union, called the EU Safe Harbor Privacy Statement.

Vangent wants to demonstrate its commitment to your privacy; and therefore discloses its website information practices (set forth below) practices. This Online Privacy Statement notifies you of:

INFORMATION RECEIVED FROM INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDERS.
This website receives information that is automatically generated by a user's Internet service provider (ISP). This information may include the IP address (a number automatically assigned to a computer by the ISP), the associated URLs, domain types, the browser type used to access our site, the country, state and telephone area code, the location of the ISP's servers, the pages of our site that the user views during the visit, any search terms entered on this site, and the website address and email address of a user. This information may be collected for system administration purposes, to gather broad demographic information and to monitor the level of activity on the site. Vangent and its affiliates do not link IP addresses to Personal Information; however, we reserve the right to link IP addresses and other information supplied by the ISP to personally identifiable information in order to protect the integrity of our system and for security purposes.

PERSONAL INFORMATION RECEIVED ABOUT INDIVIDUALS.
We provide applicant tracking, human resources products, and assessment and testing services as a service provider to our clients. Our clients are companies or organizations that use our products to assist them in hiring, retaining, and promoting employees and in improving their work force. Individuals seeking employment or advancement with our clients, or participating in testing processes provided by Vangent are referred to in this policy as 'Job Seeker' or 'you'. We collect or receive Personal Information from our clients' Job Seekers. We use this information in order to perform services on behalf of the client. Providing personal data is voluntary, but necessary if the Job Seeker wishes to receive testing or consideration for a position. We will handle and treat all Personal Information collected and received by us in connection with applicant tracking, and test registration, administration and reporting in the manner outlined in this Privacy Policy, and as may be otherwise specified by our clients.

Personal Information Collected. The personal data that we collect or receive in registering a Job Seeker for our services may include, but is not limited to: social security, name, address, email address, phone number, fax number, credit/debit card information, company and title. We may also collect or receive the following additional information at registration or in the testing or applicant tracking process, as necessary or appropriate: race, language, date of birth, employment information, previous examination history, education information. For Job Seeker verification and identification purposes, we may collect all or part of a government-issued identification number and mother's maiden name. When an electronic assessment is administered to you, we may collect and score your responses and then derive a score and generate a report about your results.

Agents
We use an outside shipping company to fulfill orders, and a credit card processing company to bill you for goods and services. These companies do not retain share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes.

Service Providers
We use other third parties to provide credit card processing. When you provide credit card information we will share your credit card information as necessary for the third party to provide that service.

For Job seekers, we may use a third party service provide to perform the following services:

  • Criminal Background Checks
  • Consumer Reports
  • Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) Processing
  • Forms (I9 and W4) automation and electronic signature capture
  •  Inbound Fax-Form processing
  • Interactive Voice Response capture

These companies perform their services as a direct component of the HR process.

INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE.
Aggregation of Non-Person-Specific Data.
We may statistically aggregate in non-
person-specific form responses to test and assessment questions and other information collected in the testing and assessment registration and delivery process and transfer this information to the client sponsoring the employment position for which you are seeking consideration and/or the test(s) or assessment(s) you are taking, and to independent research centers. Such aggregated non-person-specific information may be used for quality control, operations management, security and marketing purposes and to enhance, develop or improve our processes, services, and products (for example, by performing validation and normative testing on the assessments). By registering for an assessment or test through us, you give your consent to this non-person-specific data aggregation and the use and transmission of this aggregated statistical data as outlined above.

Transfer of Information to Clients. By registering for a test or assessment through us, you give your consent for your Personal Information to be transmitted by Vangent to the client sponsoring the employment position for which you are seeking consideration and/or the test(s) or assessment(s) you are taking. The clients require this personal data so that hiring processes, assessments and tests can be correctly administered and processed and the results used by the client. The information may be used to conduct background checks and drug testing. For further information about how the client may use your Personal Information, please contact the client. Personal data may also be aggregated and provided to the client sponsoring the employment position for which you are seeking consideration and/or the test(s) or assessment(s) you are taking.

Disclosures of Personal Information
We may disclose Personal Information as necessary or appropriate in connection with any of the purposes for which we use Personal Information, including to subcontractors or service providers that help host or support the sites or otherwise provide technical assistance, fulfillment companies that help us to provide requested products or services, and business partners that help conduct seminars or otherwise provide requested products, services, or information. We also reserve right to disclose Personal Information in connection with the sale or transfer of all or part of the business. In these situations where we transfer Personal Information to these types of third parties, we require by contract that such third parties must not use or disclose the information for any purposes other than those specified in this Online Privacy Policy, and that such third parties must maintain commercially reasonable security measures to protect the Personal Information.

We may disclose your Personal Information in connection with a sale, joint venture or other transfer of some or all of the assets of Vangent.

In such situations, we will seek to notify users of the ownership change by way of a prominent notice posted on our Web site. INFORMATION FROM CHILDREN.
This website is not directed to children or anyone under the age of 13. Vangent will not, through this website, knowingly collect, maintain or use any personally identifiable information about anyone under the age of 13.

TRANSMISSION OF INFORMATION.
The Internet is a global environment. By using this site and sending information to us electronically, you consent to transborder and international transmission of any data that you may choose to supply us. Any non-SSL encrypted information transmissions and standard emails sent to us may not be secure. Given the inherent operation and nature of the Internet, all Internet transmissions are done at the user's own risk.

Log Files and Aggregate Information
Like most standard Web site servers, we collect and use IP addresses from browsing machines to analyze trends, administer the site, track pages that have been viewed, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Vangent does not link this information with Personal Information about individual users. We reserve the right to share aggregate and anonymous information with potential partners and other third parties without restriction.

The cookies we use supply non-personally identifiable information, but may identify your computer, browser and Internet specifications.

Security
Vangent takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the security of our users' Personal Information. When our contact form or seminar sign-up form asks users to enter Personal Information, that information is encrypted and protected with the encryption software standard in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our contact form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'. While we use SSL encryption to protect certain financial information online, we also take reasonable steps to protect user information off-line. All of our users' Personal Information, not just the financial information mentioned above, is subject to restricted access in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, a customer service representative or sales representative) are granted access to Personal Information. Our employees must use passwords to gain access to Personal Information. Furthermore, all employees are regularly informed about our security and privacy practices. When new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to protect our users' and customers' Personal Information. Finally, we maintain reasonable physical, technical and organizational measures to make sure that the servers on which we store Personal Information are kept in an access restricted, physically secure, and monitored environment.
