Andre T. Allen began his career in the HR pre-screening and assessment industry in 1989. His technical background led him to a position in the IT arena in 1990. During his career, Andre has held several technologically oriented positions, including positions in Applications Development, LAN Administration, and Database Administration and Vice President of Technology.
In developing his skills as a well rounded executive, Andre took a position in sales and marketing as Director of Strategic Initiatives. During this time, Andre managed several key relationships with strategic partners, as well as provided the Vangent Human Capital Division with technology based market intelligence. Andre accepted a second 'tour of duty' as Vice President of Information Technology following the merger of our Learning Solutions and Assessment & Hiring Solutions businesses.
Andre has been involved in the architecture of several large HR technology initiatives, including many of the Vangent Human Capital technology platforms:
Andre's expertise in architecting high-availability, high-transaction technology solutions made Vangent Human Capital's Interactive Voice Response solution the 'best of class' of the industry during the late 1990's. During this time, Vangent Human Capital was able to easily handle the transaction volumes from large retail clients. Andre has recently spearheaded the effort to upgrade the Vangent Human Capital Interactive Voice Response solution to include speech recognition. This speech recognition capability has given Vangent Human Capital the ability to offer a full job application process via Interactive Voice Response technology. Andre was also instrumental in bringing these same capabilities to Vangent Human Capital's web based recruiting platforms. One such deployment included an automated recruiting solution for a major global grocery retailer. The implementation includes over 1300 kiosks, and screens over 70,000 job applicants per month.
